Greetings and salutations to my friends, family, and fellow GSU Panthers! My name is Zoë Carter, and I am a second-year nursing major with a Spanish minor at Georgia State University. It is with overwhelming joy that I share that I have been accepted into a summer study abroad program in Granada, Spain!
This opportunity has truly been a dream of mine since my freshman year of high school, when I first discovered my love for the Spanish language. I carried that passion with me into college and decided to pursue Spanish as a minor, making this moment feel incredibly full-circle.
As I pursue a future career as a pediatric nurse practitioner, my goal is to help bridge the gap between Spanish speaking patients and healthcare professionals in order to provide high-quality, compassionate care, especially within underserved communities. Studying abroad will allow me to fully immerse myself in the language and culture, strengthening my Spanish comprehension and speaking skills so that I can not only assist my future patients, but truly connect with them on a personal level.
To help make this dream a reality, I am raising $3000 and would greatly appreciate your support. I also accept Cash App ($zoenaimaa) and Apple Pay. Every dollar truly counts.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this with someone who can would mean the world to me. Thank you all so much for your love, encouragement, and support as I work toward achieving my dreams.
