Hi, I’m Zoe. Last year I qualified as one of the top female paddlers in my age group in the nation and was fortunate enough to travel to Hungary with the USA Canoe/Kayak Team for the Olympic Hopes Regatta (OHR). I had the time of my life and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Being able to paddle on the world stage and witness the greatness of my sport as a whole was inspiring, to say the least. Just a few weeks ago, I raced trials in Seattle for a spot on the national team once again. I am so happy to say I qualified for the team! After tearing my ACL and meniscus at a soccer tournament back in October, I thought for sure my dreams of attending OHR this year were over. But after my reconstructive surgery in December, I decided that I would not let that stop me. I’ve been training harder than ever, both in the gym and on the water. I am so fortunate to have this opportunity again, but as you can imagine, racing internationally comes with a heavy cost.
I could not have been able to have these opportunities over the years without the continued love and support shown by everyone, and for that I am forever grateful. Thank you!!
