I'm raising money for Aphasia Re-Connect and every donation will help. My sister and I will be walking 13k along the first leg of the Greensand Ridge Walk and ask that you make a donation for this challenge.

Aphasia is a life changing communication disability, occurring after stroke or brain injury. Every 15 minutes, somebody acquires aphasia. Robbed of that most precious human faculty, it is difficult to find or follow the words, in speech, reading or writing. As someone who has had aphasia I know only too well the loneliness of that situation.

 

But Aphasia Re-Connect counteracts this isolation by bringing people with aphasia together in all kinds of groups where they gain new opportunities which help them to reconnect with life.
