Donate in memory of Zoenova "Rickki" English

Hello, my name is Christopher English and I’m starting this GoFundMe to raise expenses for the funeral of my loving wife Zoenova English also known as “Rickki”. Rickki was not just my wife she was a daughter, mother, sister and the most caring friend.

Rickki went home to be with the Lord around 9 am Saturday morning April 13th 2024, comforted by family.

22 years ago Rickki was diagnosed with lung cancer at the age of 46 and underwent major organ removal surgery to rid her body of the cancer. With that, life became even more of a struggle for her… She was diagnosed with COPD, had blood clots, suffered from type 2 diabetes, and had her ups and downs with blood thinners. Even with all the medical problems she never stopped being herself. Rickki loved to cook, bake, thrift/antique shop, read cookbooks, fishing, and loved to tell her life stories to whoever would listen. She was a very loving and caring individual, if you needed her she was always there for you, no matter how frustrated you made her or what kind of argument you got into.

As of December 2022 she was re-diagnosed with stage 4 lung and bone cancer, which she immediately started to fight! First was the radiation treatments for the cancer in her shoulder and immunotherapy for the mass in what was left of her right lung. Together we got through 10 months of treatment but unfortunately the cancer kept spreading.

One last hope she tried chemo and it ended with her in the hospital in October of 2023. While in the hospital she chose quality over quantity and was sent home to start her hospice care.

These past 6 months have been a struggle not just for her but for me and the rest of the family.

With all the suffering we now know that she is pain free with her momma, big sister and other loved ones in heaven.

All the proceedings raised will solely be used for Rickki’s funeral services and arrangements.
