Our baby girl Zoe, was diagnosed with an extremely agressive cancerous mammary tumor on January 4, 2016. Since then, she has undergone surgery for a mastectomy and has begun chemotheropy. She is scheduled to have one more surgery and to continue up to five more rounds of chemotherapy. We are asking for help to pay for the costs of her treatment to help extend her life.
We don’t have children, so our 3 dogs and 1 cat, including Zoe, are our fur babies. We lost the oldest member of our family, Morticia, a black and white tuxedo cat, to lymphatic cancer last year. She was 13 years old at the time of her passing.
We rescued Zoe, an Alaskan Malamute, in November of 2005 from a Utah animal shelter when she was only 6 weeks old. She along with her siblings had been taken away from their breeder due to neglect. When Lisa arrived to see her she was covered in mud and feces and she was also the runt of the litter. We quickly fell in love with how adorably small she was, her sweet-heart personality and her half tail (we assume the mother accidently chewed part of her tail off at birth, believing it was the umbilical cord).
Zoe loves doggy-scootering, hiking, playing in the snow, riding in boats and people! She has two Malamute playmates, Sundance and Koda. Koda is Zoe and Sundance’s son from a litter of 4 puppies they had. Zoe and Koda are nearly inseparable.
Every year, our vacations are planned around the dogs and what they will enjoy doing. This generally consists of escaping the Las Vegas heat and heading to the mountains for some hiking or playing in snow, where Zoe thrives. She loves pulling sleds, racing around and digging in the snow.
Zoe is a very sweet and very talkative girl. She loves to greet everyone with hugs and kisses. She won’t let you out of her sight until she gives you some love and get’s a belly rub in return, lol.
Please help us save her life!
