One of my friends, Zoe Kipping, needs help making rent. Zoe was recently featured in our local newspaper (see video below).
Unfortunately, she is ineligible for unemployment because political campaign workers do not qualify. While she has a job lined up, it's been delayed due to the Coronavirus. Let's help her meet her $1200 rent and regular monthly expenses! Our goal is to raise a couple of months of expenses paid, so she can get some breathing room before her next gig.
I met Zoe on a recent successful political campaign here in Sacramento. I could tell right away that she is a fantastic activist and community advocate. Even in this difficult time, she spends tireless hours helping the unhoused in Sacramento. Zoe is a smart, caring person who makes me want to do more for our community and for others. She deserves help as much as anyone I know!
If we can get 120 people to donate $25, we can make this happen. Let's do it!
Even if you can only give $5, it is still a huge help!
PS - I know Zoe is not the only one that needs help right now. I'm proud of her being vulnerable enough to tell her story, and I hope it will motivate others to do the same.
