Jeff’s journey to recovery

Hi, my name is Lindsey and I’m Jeff’s daughter. As some may or may not know, we received the unfortunate news in the beginning of April that my dad has laryngeal cancer. It was too progressed to just try chemotherapy for treatment so the best option was getting a total laryngectomy. With that comes the loss of his natural voice which is sad in its own but we were still staying hopeful. On April 18th he went in for surgery, which was 10 hours long. The cancer was more sever than the doctors originally anticipated but they were able to get a majority of what they could. As far as his healing from that procedure, he’s doing great. Unfortunately though, during surgery there was a lack of oxygen and blood going to his eyes and he has lost his eyesight. So while we were already having a hard time digesting he won’t be able to talk for a long while, now we are having to digest the fact that he has lost his vision. It’s very devastating for him and for my mom and I. I made this go fund me in hopes that I can give my parents some relief. My mom is still having to work as much as she can while still spending hours at the hospital with my dad. He’s has such a long road to recovery and is going to have to learn a new way of life and anything we can do to make it easier for him we are going to do. We are not giving up! Any donation, prayer, positive thoughts is so beyond appreciate. Thank you ❤️
