Saving Our Family Home

Hello, my name is Danyel. I am starting this for the benefit of my parents, Danny Prado and Laurie Zimmerle as well as my younger sister Maryhelen who still lives at home. For many years my dad has been patching the roof of my childhood home as we could not afford to fully have it redone. A few years back my dad placed large black tarps on top to keep the rain from soaking in and causing leaking within the house. Although it did the job for the first year, the following year my father had a serious stroke which as result did not allow him to get back up there. We have had many people say that they could help patch it but as you can see, it never happened. This winter hit my family hard, my parents room is not available to use as the roof leaks in about every area and has begin to cave in. My father has always been one to help anyone in need in any way possible so I am turning to the community to ask for help with raising the funds to redo the entire roof. We have been in contact with a contractor and have received an estimate. I understand that times are hard right now for everyone so I completely understand if you are not able to donate but I ask for your prayers that my family remain safe.
