Hi everyone, my name is Cindy and I’m trying to raise money for my husband’s (Dan) cancer treatment expenses.
My husband became ill last July. He first came down with food poisoning and that triggered his IBSD. The doctors in my hometown of Virginia could not figure out what was going on so we went to the University of Michigan hospital. We started traveling back-and-forth from Virginia to Michigan in August and came back in April to his regular doctor because he had a lump on his neck that did not go away. That came back as tongue and neck cancer. After hearing the results we contacted the cancer center of America in Phoenix Arizona and they got us in right away and started treatment. Instead of doing chemo and radiation he did surgery and radiation because he knew his stomach could not handle the chemo. We have been here since the middle of May and will be here at least until the end of September. My husband lost his job in December so we have to pay cobra insurance just so he can come here. I know everyone is struggling right with everything going on in the world and in there own home, but if you could find it in your heart to donate even a dollar it would be a blessing.
While I have been here I have tried to educate people on what they need to know to make there stay a little better and try to get people together.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story
