Sometimes when you think things can't get any worse...
Those of you who are friends with me on Facebook know last year my dad was in the ICU for over a month due to non alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. This year he's started the process for the liver transplant list. He's been to appointment after appointment to get prepped!
On May 31st I myself so incredibly managed to slip down some stairs and dislocate my ankle and break four bones in my leg. The worst part about this for me is I had given my 2 week notice to my employer and my last day with him was May 30th. I was going to start an exciting new job June 1st. Unfortunately this situation left me without medical insurance and now without a job.
Through all of this my mom has been the primary care taker for my dad myself as well as my son Aiden. Taking us to our appointments and errands we need to do. In doing so she has taken off many days from work already.
Just recently we were hit with the news of my mom being diagnosed with cancer. She is going to be going through chemotherapy and radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks straight. Once she starts (very soon) this leaves all 3 of us not working and unable to take care of ourselves.
Until my leg heals I am unable to drive as well as my dad can not drive. We have already piled up extensive medical bills as well as struggling with regular bills due to the lack of working.
We are all thankful that we are strong and going to get through all of this as a family together.
Even if you have no money as we very well understand at this moment in time prayers and well wishes are just amazing. Thank you everyone for the support that has been given already!!
