Introduction:

Hello everyone,

My name is Hanan, a simple girl from Palestine. I am reaching out to you today because my life has been turned upside down by the recent war on Gaza.

The Story:

Everything started suddenly. Life was going on with a quiet normal routine. I would go to work every morning at the university where I work as an information technology lecturer, and I would return in the evening to take care of my home and my elderly mother (74 years old). On Saturday morning, October 7th, the routine changed and everything was different. The war on Gaza began, and the usual cycle of life stopped, with death spreading everywhere. From the window of my room, where I used to contemplate the streets, the scene changed. The sound of bombs and scenes of destruction were everywhere. The elements of life gradually disappeared from our city, and suddenly my beautiful home vanished, leaving me and my elderly mother homeless. Our building, which contained our apartment, was bombed, and we lost our home and all our personal belongings. We only managed to leave with the clothes we were wearing, turning life into a gray color of bombing and destruction.

We migrated from our city to another, leaving behind our homes, memories, and lives that went with the destroyed house. We moved to displacement areas, and suddenly, my last hopes and dreams were destroyed. My university was bombed, and I lost my workplace and my warm office, along with memories of my students in the classrooms.

I lost my home, and I lost my job. So, I strive not to lose my life and the life of my mother. Leaving Gaza is expensive, and staying there is also costly. Therefore, I hope that through your generous contributions, I can gather what helps me return to life again and find a safe and warm home for my family and my mother.

The Goal:

Our goal is to raise $25,000 to help cover the costs of finding a new home and starting over. Here is a breakdown of how the funds will be utilized:

Relocation expenses: $10,000 per person

Basic necessities and personal belongings: $7,000

Support for daily living and care for my mother: $8,000

بدأ كل شيء فجأة. كانت الحياة تسير بروتين طبيعي هادئ. اذهب كل صباح إلى عملي في الجامعة كمحاضر تكنولوجيا معلومات وأعود مساءً للاهتمام بمنزلي ورعاية والدتي المسنة (74) عاماً. في صباح السبت 7 أكتوبر اختلف الروتين وتغير كل شيء. بدأت الحرب على غزة، وتوقفت عجلة الحياة المعتادة، وانتشر الموت في كل مكان. من نافذة غرفتي التي كنت أتأمل من خلالها الطرقات، اختلف المشهد. صوت القنابل ومشاهد الدمار في كل مكان. اختفت مقومات الحياة تدريجياً في مدينتي، ليقصف فجأة منزلي، وأصبحت أنا وأمي بلا مأوى. تم قصف عمارتنا، وخسرنا منزلنا، وكافة متعلقاتنا الشخصية، لم يسعفنا الوقت لأخذ شيء سوى ملابسنا التي نرتديها فقط، لتصبح الحياة رمادية بلون القصف والدمار.

هاجرنا ونزحنا من مدينتنا إلى مدينة أخرى، تاركين خلفنا منازلنا وذكرياتنا التي ذهبت مع المنزل المدمر. أوينا إلى مناطق النزوح، وفجأة تم تدمير آخر آمالي. تم قصف جامعتي ومكان عملي، وذكريات طلابي في قاعات الدراسة. خسرت منزلي، وخسرت عملي. لذا أسعى لكي لا أخسر حياتي وحياة والدتي. الخروج من غزة مكلف، والبقاء بها مكلف أيضاً. لذا نأمل في أن أستطيع من خلال مساهماتكم الكريمة جمع ما يساعدني على العودة للحياة مرة أخرى، وإيجاد منزل آمن ودافئ لي ولوالدتي المسنة
