Update 08.23.23

Mom found out today that there are numerous new brain lesions, more cancer in bones and the tumors on both lungs and all lesions have increased some in size. They are wanting to try a new infusion drug called Tarlatamab. Then the radiation will more than likely start in 6 weeks after we see how well this new drug does. She’s having to quit her job due to the learned information today. We are asking for lots of prayers and any donations are much appreciated and will go towards bills and travel. We are all extremely grateful for the love and support. Thank you in advance.

Update 06.06.24:

Mom is still traveling back and forth to Houston every 3 weeks for Chemo treatments, and will continue to do so for the next year or so. A summary of her previous visit - the lesion on her skull is gone, the cancer on her liver has resolved but is still active but maintaining ( treatment is working ) the tumor on her lung has decreased in size and metabolic activity. It was an overall good report and they will continue treatment. She will be getting a port put in tomorrow 06.07.2024 at about 7:30 am to make it easier on her. Any donations are greatly appreciated to help with travel expenses. We appreciate everyone that has contributed and definitely appreciate the prayers. Keep them coming! God Bless you all!

UPDATE 04/22/24:

We are extremely blessed to have all of the love and support. It is very much appreciated. We are asking for continued prayers. Mom just got back from her second round of chemotherapy. She will be going to MDA every three weeks for 3 days of chemotherapy for the next few months. 

UPDATE: 

I am asking for continued prayers. M.D. Anderson diagnosed her with small cell lung carcinoma and she started chemo immediately...3 days of it, then come home hopefully for 3 weeks to rest, and then start again. Please put her in your daily prayers. She is ready to fight this and has a wonderful support team and needs your prayers and I know she appreciates them very much....please keep her family in your prayers as well. They had a diagnosis after many tests in 2 1/2 days. Thank you everyone. 

03.20.2024-Today my Mom was admitted into the Emergency Room and they discovered that she has a mass on her lung that has moved to her liver. She will be heading to MD Anderson tomorrow to see her Oncologist. I am resharing this go fund me to help with housing and expenses. Anything helps and is appreciated. Even if it’s a prayer. Thank you in advance.  

Update 04.25.25 My mom is in Ochsner’s Medical Center in Baton Rouge, after receiving her last chemo treatment she developed thrush and an abscessed ulcers in her mouth, but I remain hopeful that this too shall pass, when she went to get this checked out she received the news that her WBC was 0.4 and her platelets were about the same very low, yet I trust that she will rise above this challenge, they are treating her there and it looks like she will probably be there until she improves and her WBC’s improve, please keep her and my family in your prayers as we navigate this temporary setback with faith and resilience.
