I was diagnosed with AML Leukemia on June 13th 2019. I was told I will need a bone marrow transplant to be cured. I was called 2 days ago from the transplant team at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. This is about 4hours away from home. My husband and I will be heading there for 4 months on Oct. 23.
We thought we had all the financial stuff handled until some unforeseen circumstances came up today. The FMLA plan my husband filed back in July was suppose to pay him wages while he takes care of me there. After talking to his HR department, they will give him time off but with no pay. (because it is me that is sick, not him) Without his income we will not be able to pay our bills back home and the added expenses our insurance will not cover.
I had to take a year off from my part time job although I do have some income for disability, We can’t survive on my disability income alone. We are in urgent need of help from anyone willing to donate so I can get better.
