Help Duchess Heal After a Serious Injury

Hi, my name is Chris, and I’m raising funds for my dog, Duchess, after a sudden and heartbreaking accident.

Over the holidays, I was supposed to visit my family this christmas and arranged for Duchess to stay with a sitter while I was away. Just a few hours after I dropped her off, I received a call saying there had been an accident and that I needed to come get her immediately. When I arrived, Duchess was badly injured and covered in blood.

I later learned that the sitter had another dog in the home that was never disclosed to me. That dog, a Doberman, attacked Duchess, causing severe injuries. I rushed her to the emergency vet, where we were told that her back leg is broken and she needs surgery to repair it.

The estimated cost of the procedure is between $10,000–$12,000, which is far more than I can manage on my own.

Duchess is more than a pet — she’s family. She’s loving, loyal, and doesn’t deserve to be in pain. Right now, we’re doing everything we can to make sure she’s comfortable while we figure out the next steps for her treatment.
