Hi, my name is Maree and I’m fundraising for a dear friend I met at Avondale University.

We are aiming to raise funds for Ruby who is a single mother due to leaving a marriage involving domestic violence.

Ruby has physical disabilities and does an excellent job of raising her three children. She uses mobility aids to assist in her daily routine.

Ruby is one of the strongest and most compassionate people I’ve ever met.

Recently, Ruby was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer which has spread to her spine. She does not qualify for any extra assistance as cancer is not a disability.

Her medical bills are only going to increase as she fights this cancer diagnosis.

We are being deliberate in not sharing Ruby’s location due to the aforementioned domestic violence.

Raising money for Ruby would assist her in paying her medical bills and would give her a buffer. She often relies on assistance from food banks etc. Any money raised would help ease the burden on both Ruby and her three children. If you are able, any donation would be greatly appreciated. We understand times are tough, we just want to give Ruby some peace of mind during such a highly difficult time.
