Mia's road to recovery!
Donation protected
I am starting this “Go Fund Me” page for my beautiful niece Mia Virag. Mia is the sweetest, kindest, most genuine soul you will ever meet. On Tuesday 8/15/23 Mia’s life changed forever. Mia was involved in a horrible car accident that left her in critical condition. Mia is currently in the ICU where she is suffering from several injuries: Stage 5 liver lesion, right renal injury, splenic injury, Small pneumothorax, lung contusion, rib fractures, adrenal hemorrhage, and right ulnar fracture. Mia has already undergone surgery on her liver, spleen, kidneys and arm. The doctors have made it clear that Mia is not out of the woods and will likely require more surgeries in the future. If the surgery on her liver is not successful, then she will need part of her liver removed. Mia’s life will never be the same. After she is released from the hospital she will be transferred to Mary Free Bed inpatient where she will receive physical therapy, occupational therapy, pain management and psychiatric pain management. During that time Mia’s mother Candice will receive training on how to care for Mia when they return home. Mia will need 24/7 care for many months to come. If anyone knows Candice (Mia’s mom), then you already know that Mia is her entire world. Mia just moved into a new apartment at the beginning of August and she will need to continue to pay her rent as well as several other bills. Candice went back to work on Monday after being off for 6 weeks for surgery that she underwent. Candice will now be off work to care for Mia for many more months. With all this being said I am asking for any donation that you can afford to give at this time. Both Mia AND Candice will be off work for many months. This is already a nightmare of a situation and money for two households is the last thing they need to be worrying about right now. Both Mia and Candice need to be focused on Mia’s health. Please give if you can, share the post and most importantly PRAY for Mia! Thank you so much for all the love and support you have already shown!
