Fight For Bruce

My name is Destiny, I have been doing street rescue for over a year. I got to be apart of the trapping of Bruce this past Saturday with Jenna and jasmine . We didn’t know how badly Bruce’s case was until his foster reached out to me to remove the ticks. Bruce has drastically changed. Over night the ticks spread he originally supposed to be seen later on this week. But his situation turned into an emergency. He was seen a Deason animal Hospital where they diagnosed him with tick borne disease, and anemia, from the amount of ticks and fleas feeding on him. Bruce will need 2 days at least of hospitalization and a blood transfusion. He is currently being transferred to Mission vet because Deason did not have the blood he needed.

1:05 am 3/14/23- update To those wondering why the goal has changed , due to moving him from a normal vet and into an emergency 24/7 clinic his estimate went up. The my original goal was supposed to cover Deasons 2 day treatment . They unfortunately did not have the blood he needed and he had to be moved. We are giving him a chance at the life he deserves!

Bruce is Extremely weak vet is going to continue removing ticks and monitoring his stats he’s at risk of blood clotting and the Treatment for the Tickborne disease is going to be on going. He’s holding on we need to keep being able to fight for him , I posted a video on Tiktok please continue to show support Bruce is so thankful and so are we we couldn’t have helped him without y’all , thank you from the bottom

UPDATE - 10:27 am 3/14/23

Bruce received his first 1/2 blood transfusion. He did perk up a little bit they got a couple tail wags out of him, but he is still very weak and is gonna continue to be monitored. He has been receiving iv fluids since last night Due to his condition he was extremely dehydrated. They’re needing to run more tests tick related since the 4DX test only covered a portion of the diseases ticks carry. We increased the goal , for those helping Bruce Your not going Un Noticed you helped me get a rescue advocate for him. I would like to use the rest of the donation we receive so we can continue to help dogs like Bruce.
