THE WAY OUR WOUNDED HEROES ARE TREATED IS A DISGRACE TO OUR COUNTRY!!!!

My friend, Marine Cpl. Larry Bailey, became a triple amputee when he was catastrophically-wounded by an IED in Aghanistan. Besides being an incredible husband to his wife, Desiree, Larry is now preparing for the birth of his first child. This should be a magical time for this beautiful couple, but the Maryland VA is making The Bailey's life hell.

Larry's wheelchair broke A YEAR AGO and they have been giving him the run-around ever since. Larry tried to stay positive and be patient, but his now pregnant wife has to wheel him everywhere with a temporary transfer chair, not suited for his needs. Larry was about 6'5 before he got blown up and is still a very large man. He's stressed and feels defeated that his wife has to push him everywhere and could potentially hurt herself doing so.

WHY ARE WE NOT GIVING THESE HEROES WHAT THEY DESERVE??? WOULD ANY OF OUR POLITICIANS LET THEIR OWN SONS AND DAUGHTERS SUFFER LIKE THIS??

WHY DO THESE MEN AND WOMEN HAVE TO BEG THE VA FOR THE MOBILITY AIDS THEY NEED TO FUNCTION???

America, it's time to wake up and see the way our servicemen and women are treated. All these posts saying you support the military mean nothing when even ONE American Hero is left in the darkness, the way Larry has.

We owe Larry and Desiree so much more. They are the heart and soul of what makes this country GREAT!!!! Please help me get Larry a new wheelchair, so he can sleep soundly at night knowing his wife won't hurt herself pushing him around. Thank you heart emoticon

"In 2007, Cpl. Larry Bailey, made his father proud by following in his footsteps and enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. He showed his commitment to others while deployed as a Senior Machine Gunner in Afghanistan. When an enemy attack caused a fellow service member to be injured, Larry immediately provided cover fire that allowed the Marines to transport their comrade to
safety.

In 2011, Larry and his unit were ambushed by small arms and machine-gun fire that killed a fellow Marine. While trying to repel the assault, Larry struck an improvised explosive device (IED) and was injured, resulting in the amputation of both legs above the knee and loss of his left hand. Larry received the Purple Heart for his combat wounds." (via www.Tunnel2Towers.org).

Larry Bailey: I throw out a estimated price until I speak with the vendor in the morning. also though new to this my wife and i are admining this site or should just say controlling.

I'm sure I'll say it many other times but thank you all and definitely Amanda Sullivan and Todd Love.
