Help Julie’s Family Rebuild After Devastating Fire
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Julie, a grandmother from Woodridge, IL, reaching out for support for my youngest son and his family. Yesterday morning, a tragic fire destroyed their home, leaving them with nothing.
My 4-year-old grandson was rushed to the hospital for smoke inhalation, covered in soot but thankfully stable and still at the children's hospital. Their 6-month-old dog, Kano, was also traumatized and covered in soot. My 8-year-old grandson, who was with us during the fire, is struggling to understand why he can’t go home. As grandparents, my husband and I are heartbroken watching our children and grandchildren face this unimaginable loss. The fear and pain of this moment are something no family should endure.
The fire took everything— their home, their belongings, and the sense of security for their young children. We’re doing all we can to help, but we need your support to get them back on their feet. Our immediate goal is to raise $15,000 to secure temporary housing, replace essential items like clothes and school supplies, and cover medical expenses for our grandson’s treatment.
Here’s how the funds will be used:
$12,000 for temporary housing (rent for 6 months)
$5,000 for clothing, school supplies, and essentials for the children, along with other necessities and toiletries
$3,000 for medical bills and pet care
Any amount you can give will make a difference, whether it’s $5 or $50. If you can’t donate, please share this page with your friends and family to help spread the word. Your support means the world to us as we work to rebuild a safe home for our son, his wife, and our precious grandchildren.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and God Bless you,
Julie and Family
