Hi, my name is IZZY

and I’m reaching out because my dog and I are fighting every day just to stay safe. Our home was flooded and destroyed by a hurricane, and we were left with nowhere to go. With no family support and no safe environment to return to, we’ve been forced to live out of my car while trying to rebuild our lives.

Leaving a toxic and unstable situation was already incredibly hard, but losing our home on top of it has left us overwhelmed and struggling just to make it through each day. My dog is my heart and my only companion, and keeping us both safe, warm, and fed has become a challenge I never imagined I’d face.

The truth is, we’ve been living in survival mode most of our lives. We are desperate for healing, stability, love, and support. My mental health is reaching its limit, and I’m trying my hardest to stay strong — but doing it alone has become almost impossible. I don’t like asking for help, and I’ve always tried to handle everything on my own, but right now I genuinely have no choice. We just need a chance to breathe again.

I am asking for help to cover:

• Temporary shelter so we can safely rest and get out of the heat and storms

• A more reliable and slightly bigger vehicle, since my current one is cramped and breaking down

• Food, basic necessities, and supplies so we can stay healthy while we work toward stability
