ANGIE'S ARMY- making a stand against cancer

Hi, I'm CJ and I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of our dear friend Angie. Angie recently learned she had a recurrence of cancer. Sadly, Angie's prognosis is that this recurrence of cancer is incurable. I usually have no trouble putting words to paper but I have never had to write a Go Fund Me request before for a loved and cherished friend facing these dire circumstances. It is both my great pleasure and my great pain to do this for Angie and to ask all of you to contribute any amount that you can to help Angie and her family as she proceeds with her treatments.

Angie will begin palliative chemotherapy soon to ease symptoms, improve the quality of her life, and extend her life. Ever independent, Angie will be uncomfortable to be the benefactor of this fundraiser and will believe the goal I have set to be too much, but this goal represents my shared prayers with all of you, and fervent hope and belief that she will respond well to palliative chemotherapy and be blessed with precious extra seasons in her life. Therefore, Angie needs all the help we can provide to assist with lost wages, the purchase of medical supplies and equipment to aid in daily living activities, treatment costs, medications, and transportation. Additionally, your contributions will help ensure that Angie is surrounded by and cared for by loved ones that also need to take absences from employment to provide care for her and/or need to travel from great distances to be present with and attentive to her.

Angie is a loving daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt, who is loved by and is vitally important to her family and their wellbeing. She is also a wonderful friend to many. Anyone who knows her has been witness to her kindness, her intelligence, her humor and wit, and has undoubtedly been made to smile by her and is better for having known her.
