Remembering Renee Zimmer

Hello friends, family, and strangers,
My name is Emily Zimmer, and I'm the daughter of Renee Zimmer.
Today we received word that my mom was in the final stages of her life, and my family is struggling to put together the funds to afford an obiturary, her cremation, and a memorial service. I received quotes for roughly $1,500 (or potentially more) for a basic obituary and cremation, and I'm reaching out for help.
My mom was diagnosed with a rare neurological disease called CBD (corticobasal degeneration) 6 years ago. Unfortunately, there's no known cause or cure for this, and it's brought a lot of emotional, physical, and financial pain to my family.
I never thought I'd be writing this one day... but my mother was the most wonderful mother, mentor, and best friend anyone could have. She had a passion for cooking and helping others. Anytime our church had an event, she'd be loading up the cars full of treats! She even went on to write her own cookbook, "My Passion His Praise," to share her countless tasty recipes with others.
Some of you may not be able to give and I totally understand (times are tough!). Even just sharing with your friends greatly helps, and it's incredibly appreciated. If you are able to give, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support, encouragement, and love is truly a blessing that will help get us through this.
