Funding for Aviation School

My name is Esmeralda Rojas. I am currently a full time flight attendant for Southwest Airlines.

When I’m not flying the friendly skies, I am working my way to receiving my private pilot license at a local municipal airport.

I am on a journey to inspire other women. As of April 2023, statistics show that in aviation only 9.57% are women and of those only 8.54% are commercial pilots. While the representation of women in these professions is slowly increasing over the years, common misconceptions often deter and play roles in the low amount of women in aviation. The common theme across these professions is that they were all (and still are) traditionally dominated by males.

As a Hispanic woman, I am here to increase that percentage and motivate the next generation of lady aviators.

Training for my private pilot license and further certifications is a huge financial investment for me as I am self-funded. The funds raised here will go directly towards the costs of my licenses, time building, aircraft rental fees, fuel costs, airplane renters insurance, instruction time, and aircraft usage fees.

It truly takes a village. With your help, I will be able to achieve my lifelong dream along with paving the way for all young women enthusiasts to follow their dreams.
