Deborah was a long time resident of Othello, WA. She now lives in Oak Harbor, WA with her daughter Laura and beloved grandson Killian. Deborah has Medicare to cover most of the medical costs but there will be many extra expenses with needing to travel from Oak Harbor to Seattle for treatments and follow-up. Ferry fare, co-pays, gas, hotels.

She is on a small fixed social security income that will not be able to cover these unexpected costs, trying to do so would mean missing rent and utility bills. She has been in touch with oncology social workers but the programs can have lots of paperwork and most run out of funds very quickly. This should be a time in every person's life when they can concentrate on healing and not paperwork.
