Hello, my name is Danielle Abramson, and I’d like to thank you for taking a moment out of your daily life to read my story.
Very recently, I’ve gotten what I always feared for in the back of my mind, since losing my Mother at a very young age of 39 in 1987…a Breast Cancer diagnosis of my own at 47.
Luckily, I had the knowledge to seek medical help ASAP when I saw something wasn’t right - about a month ago now. It turns out the itchy rash and lumps were Stage 2 early 3 DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma in Situ), Cancer of the Milk Duct, and it infiltrated a lymph node in my armpit. It’s very painful and I can’t wait to get it taken care of and out of me.
My doctors feel that this is definitely treatable but it’s not an easy road, plus trying to keep my full-time 9-5 job. Between SURGERY, RADIATION with CHEMOTHERAPY and quite possibly HORMONE THERAPY too depending on what the biopsy hormone genetic testing says.
I am Strong and I’m not a Quitter!! I will PREVAIL
Times are tough for me and my husband Lee, living on Long Island with a week to week cash flow. Unfortunately, there isn’t much room for savings living this way, so this is where the 2nd hardest thing I’ve ever had to do comes in—-asking for your help in the way of a monetary donation.
The backstory is our health insurance pays a portion of my healthcare but we still have to come up with meeting the deductible. Since I’ve or We’ve never really been sick to use it up until now there is quite a bit still left to pay before the insurance kicks in.
There is a $3,500 deductible for our network and these funds will be used for Copayments, Prescriptions, Tests not covered by insurance and Funds for gas and extra household expenses for my care.
This added expense is very stressful for both me and my husband because there isn’t much left over out of our checks after Uncle Sam and mortgage/utility payments. For this reason, I’m reaching out to you today in need.
Any amount you are willing to contribute is so greatly appreciated and if you aren’t able to contribute funds at this time, a share with your friends and family would mean everything to me and my family.
Thank you very much for reading my story. I will continue to update as I get pertaining information on this Cancer journey.
Much Love
Danielle
