Rest in Power, DJ Phresh: A Celebration of Life

**UPDATE: On Sunday, March 12, our beloved friend Anthony Scott aka DJ PHRESH, came to the end of his journey on earth.

Mike Sims, Anthony's cousin, will be the recipient of these funds and it is his wish to direct all funds toward a memorial service in Phresh's honor. We are working closely together to support him and will update everyone on the service & celebration of life details soon, as everyone will be welcome.

As of right now, we are continuing to raise funds as the expenses of memorial services and burial, in the proper way that Phresh deserves, are greater than anticipated and more than we have fundraised so far. We greatly appreciate your generosity.

Anthony Scott, a larger-than-life personality and one-of-a-kind human being, known by those who love him near and far as DJ PHRESH, is in great need of the help of the community to whom he has given so much of himself over the years.

For the past several days, Phresh has been in the ICU fighting for his life with the support of doctors and nurses who have been working tirelessly to intervene, and his closest friends who have not left his side. He is suffering from kidney failure and extensive resulting complications and remains in critical condition. As of the evening of Thursday, February 23, we have been told that chances of survival look good, however, his road to rehabilitation will be long and challenging, and unfortunately, very costly.

Phresh has spent the entirety of his career bringing joy to the lives of so many through music. Aside from his (vast) inner circle of loved ones who have many a wild story, funny memory, or epic anecdote to tell, with all credit due to Phresh at the center of it all, it would be hard to encounter any New Yorker who didn't have a night out that was positively touched by the inimitable DJ PHRESH. We love him so much and need to rally behind him to show him he is not alone as he makes his way through this difficult road.
