Yesterday, my son Evan Mercurio, his fiancée Tamara Marrero, and their friend Manny Montanez experienced a fire in their ground-floor apartment. While they were at work, the alarms sounded across all buildings due to smoldering smoke in the bedroom closet. It took some time to identify the apartment, and once they were alerted, all three rushed home. Thankfully, the dog safely escaped, and after a brief search, the cat was found alive.
These hardworking young individuals now face the aftermath—Manny's room is completely devastated by smoke and fire, while the rest of the apartment bears fire, smoke, and extensive water damage. Even items prepared for Evan and Tamara's June wedding have been affected. This has been an incredibly distressing and traumatic experience for all three, but we are grateful that everyone, including their beloved pets, made it out safely.
If your heart feels compelled, please consider helping them recover and replace some of their essential belongings. Your support means the world to them during this challenging time. Thank you in advance, and may you be blessed abundantly.
