Kaelans Special Heart

Hi, my name is Natalie, I am a mother of seven wonderful children and live in Nelson bay.

My four year old son Kaelan was born with a serious heart condition, Tricuspid Artresia.

This is where one side of the heart cannot pump blood flow freely and causes Kaelan to become short of breath . kaelans oxygen levels are at 79 percent and without surgery oxygen levels will significantly decline.

During kaelans short life he has endured many surgeries including a five hour open heart surgery at four months old , and a lot of time in and out of hospital, many needles , sickness from strong medication.

Kaelan requires another major heart surgery on the 19th may this year. This is a major 6 hour surgery that has a very high risk of bleeding on the brain, fluid on the lungs and risk on heart adapting to extra oxygen flow.

Kaelan is a loving happy boy that enjoys playing with his siblings especially his younger brother Phoenix. Unfortunately he cannot play for very long especially at the park because he becomes extremely short of breathe.

I am raising money to help with the cost of medical expenses that are not covered , ongoing treatment and also accomodation cost for us to be with Kaelan in Sydney for over a month near the hospital.

Any donation big or small is immensely appreciated and will help Kaelan live a life and do things other four year old deserve.
