Rick and Jessica were in a terrible auto accident on their way to San Diego Comic Con, on July 8, 2015. Rick has been in critical ICU for a week and will probably be there another two weeks before being transferred to regular ICU, and then a rehab hospital for at least eight weeks after being discharged from ICU. 

Their expenses are mounting; insurance doesn't cover everything. Jessica's powerchair and mobile ramp for her MS were thrown from the bed of the truck and destroyed.
