We lost you, an angel here on earth, too soon. Your bright smile, loud laugh, and heart of gold touched all those who had the pleasure of having met you. You loved harder than anyone we knew and your family wants to keep that beautiful, loving spirit alive.
This is our chance to honor the memory of our Aviana (Avi). She was all about wanting people to be happy, to hold onto faith, to be carefree, to be loved, and more than anything, to be their truest selves. This was particularly so for children. Many of her favorite memories were ones of herself as a young girl, and she wished for nothing but the best for children everywhere.
We ask that together, in her memory, we help breathe life into that wish. Donations to this GoFundMe will not only help us lay her to rest, but more importantly, celebrate her life. We will also be making a donation in Avi’s name to one of her favorite places - Mother Caroline Academy. MCA on Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester is an all girls middle school, where Avi attended grades 5-8. Once all arrangements have been made, all remaining donations will form the “Be Happy” scholarship going directly to subsidizing the cost of a young girl’s education. If you’d prefer your contribution to be dedicated to something specific (i.e. flowers, the scholarship, the memorial service, etc.), please include that in the message. Knowing that education has the power to transform lives, MCA families are invested in setting their daughters on a path of promise that leads to high school, college and a life of opportunity. We have successfully reached hundreds of families of greatest need over the years. Through the support of an incredible community of families, faculty, staff, AmeriCorps volunteers, community volunteers, program partners and investors, MCAEC has opened doors and transformed lives for almost 25 years. By sponsoring the education of a student or a class you open a door of opportunity for a young woman or young women in the city of Boston. You support girls in a safe nurturing environment where her intellect, confidence, and perspective will grow. Through regular correspondence and contact, you will have the opportunity to create meaningful change and a path out of poverty through education. Individual student sponsorships are $5,000 per year [...] from 4th through 8th grade.”
