Remembering Steve

Dear friends and family,
As you may have heard, Steve suffered a severe stroke recently while visiting his daughter and grandchildren following the sudden and tragic loss of his son-in-law.
He received excellent care from the staff at UC Davis Medical Center through his intensive treatment and then through his time in hospice.
Steve passed peacefully on the evening of Jan 17th with his wife of nearly 50 years by his side and surrounded by the love of his family and all of you who have kept him in your thoughts and prayers.
As a poppa, dad, brother, friend, teacher, and husband, Steve impacted countless lives. While we already miss him deeply, the love and wisdom that he shared will live on through all of us.
While we do not yet know the full financial burden of his care and related expenses, it is clear from estimates that it will be substantial. We certainly understand the hardships that so many are facing these days and the entire family is truly grateful for any donation to help alleviate this concern.
