Healthy Heart for Baby Gab

We have setup this page for an honest reason that our family would like to raise money for the new member of the Luartes family,  Laura & Ivan's newborn baby boy.....  

Vanne Gabrielle Luartes  (Baby Gab) was born on the  11th of Sept 2020.  He has Transposition of Great Arteries (d-TGA) , a condition of the heart in which the two main arteries carrying blood out of the heart – the main pulmonary artery and the aorta – are switched in position, or “transposed.”  He also has 2 holes in his heart.  With this medical findings, early surgery is essential and involves the " Arterial Switch Operation", which need to be carried out as soon as possible.

As far as healthcare costs in the Philippines is concerned, unfortunately,  the surgery and medications are not cheap and affordable (especially for this type of surgery). Baby Gab's operation is estimated to cost PHP 1M alone  (est AU$30,000) and medications that he needs to take prior to surgery to ensure the holes will not close costs Php11,000 - Php15,000 (that will just last for few days). In addition, at post-surgery, medications are needed to help the heart pump better, control blood pressure, help get rid of extra fluid in the body, and slow down the heart if it is beating too fast. If the heart is beating too slowly, a pacemaker is needed as well.

We need help. Fundraising isn't easy and we appreciate everything you will give to support and help fund Baby Gab's surgery and medications.
