Help the Newlyweds Deal with Cancer

Donation protected
Alex and Chanteal were married at the end of April. Two months later, they learned that Alex has testicular cancer. By the end of the week, Alex was having surgery and is now preparing to begin chemotherapy.

Fortunately, Alex is still on his parent's insurance, so Alex and Chanteal are not drowning in hundreds of thousands of dollars of medical bills, but even deductibles, co-pays and prescriptions add up when you are 21 and newly married.

Beyond the treatment costs, Alex and Chanteal have both had to take time off of work, and, with chemotherapy starting soon, more time will be needed. Unfortunately, neither Alex nor Chanteal get paid time off.

Finally, it is possible for chemotherapy to render a young man infertile. As a newly married couple, Alex and Chanteal are looking forward to having children in the future, and this will require the services (and cost) of a sperm bank.

Alex and Chanteal have been dealt a difficult hand at the beginning of their marriage. Would you consider giving them a little help, so financial stress isn't added on top of the strain of a cancer diagnosis?

So, who am I? I am Alex's father.
