My name is Ahmed Almughrabi, living in Wales as a refugee. I came to the UK in 2019 because of the dire situation in Gaza in order to work and make money to help my family back in Gaza to attain the to needs of food, water and medicine to keep on surviving and living as normal life possible. For years I have been working tirelessly to try and provide for them, before the genocide accelerated and devastated our lives.

There is nowhere for my family left to go in Gaza, moving from city to city, displaced 7 times because of the air strikes that have killed over 250,000 innocent civilians trying to seek shelter.

My sister and her two precious children were among those martyred when our family home was struck by the brutal occupation. My family has not had the opportunity to grieve as everyday is a struggle for survival.

My family just like every family in Gaza right now are desperate to just get out and get somewhere safe where they can begin a new life. Although the Rafah crossing is closed, having the complete amount by the time they open may save their lives.

My brother and his wife have 4 beautiful young children aged between 2-12. My mother is elderly and cared for by them, their life is at great risk right now and can be killed in the air strike at any time so every second is crucial in raising as much money as possible to get them to a safe location outside of Gaza.

Through my work abroad I am able to try and ensure their most basic needs are met, however I am unable to help them survive on my own.
