Hello my name is Margaret, the oldest of my dad (Henry C. Turner). I was the son he never had but I’m glad to be female. I was his partner when it came to fishing and hunting. I will miss doing those things with him. He always had an entrepreneur spirit and laid his hand at many things to try to put his family in a better place. Unfortunately nothing ever came to fruition. My parents were unselfish and took on the responsibility of raising some of their grandchildren. He may have felt like he failed as a father and husband but he was the rock to many of us and a hero to his grandchildren. He took time teaching them how to fish but the most important thing was that he always spoke into their lives encouraging them to finish what they started. He expressed to them how important education was being that he only had a tenth grade education. He took on the responsibility of two of his granddaughter when his son was incarcerated. They meant the world to him. He always gave his last when it came to all the grandchildren making sure that they had Christmas. He will be missed this year and years to come. My last conversation with him went like this: Me - I love you daddy! Dad - I will always love this girl.
He passed away this morning Dec 8, 2015 as everything has unfolded throughout the day; we found out that my parents insurance policy lapsed in Jan of this year. My dad has always been the one in control of their finances so when he began losing his memory, my mom had no clue as to what was or not being paid. In Sept he was diagnosed with stage three cancer and it quickly progressed into stage four. I know that my mom rather have him buried rather than cremated. I know that God will honor the desires of her heart as she has stood by her husband for the last 49 years.
Whatever you can do to make this happen will be greatly appreciated. There may be just one donor that can take care of everything. May you receive one hundred fold on your seed. Feel free to make donations directly to Keith P. Clark and Son Funeral Home Winchester, KY
