It is hard to write this and admit that we need the support.

Alex is my 10 year old little dude who has a condition called non cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis. This means that daily we do nebulisers, physio and 3 times a week he takes antibiotics to keep him healthy.

At the moment his right lung is constricting the airway to his left lung. We are looking at a lung removal (pneumonectomy). His heart is also being pushed over by his “good lung” and he will need cardiac surgery for that too. He also has Haemophilia A so that is a major worry for myself when he’s going under

It is going to be a long hard slog and I don’t know how much time I will need to stay in hospital with him or at home. He’s an absolute super star and takes it all in his stride his mama less so.
