Ed Zimmerman joined the Marine Corps. right out of high school when he was just 18 years old and immediately got deployed to Vietnam 6 months later following boot camp. “Zimmo” is a heroic story about Ed "Zimmo" Zimmerman who goes through life-changing experience's during and after his time serving overseas. This documentary explores his struggles with the past and his journey toward acclimation back to civilian life. This leads to his decision to go back to Vietnam, over 25 years later, to lead an expedition to retrieve 2 of his fellow marines who never made it back home. Through his experiences, Mr. Zimmerman emerges as a true hero who inspires others to overcome their own struggles and try to find peace.
