Zilla's Operation
Donation protected
Hi there!
I'm calling all animal lovers, friends and family of Little Zilla to help fix her injured damaged paw.
My name is Teighan and I have a 9-year-old little Staffy Girl.
We were recently playing on the beach, which we love doing so much, and she injured her paw badly on an oyster. This has led to her requiring an operation and ongoing care, medication and vet visits during her healing process.
The operation will require the laceration to be opened up (I'll spare you the gory details) as there isn't enough skin to stitch up. She'll require vet visits every 3 days for bandaging, antibiotics and calming drugs while she's immobile for a number of weeks.
Not too long ago the company I was working for went into administration and I was out of work on the spot. Unfortunately, I'm currently only doing odd freelancing jobs as I hunt for a new role, which means that funds available right now are minimal.
(I can tell you though, Zilla loves having her Mum home with her a lot more, and I love that part of it too!)
Zilla and I have been a team since she was 7 weeks old, she's my best friend and offers a lot of support to me, naturally that's something I give her back at all times.
Particularly in her times of need such as now.
She's so loving and playful and I'm sure if she could give each of you a big tail wag and snuggle in gratitude she most certainly would.
The costs for her care are unavoidable and I'm not in a position to pay the amount in full by myself.
We would both very much appreciate your donations and support to help pay for her care and recovery. Anything you're able to contribute will go towards looking after her.
At this stage the vet has outlined the operation alone will cost $1900, but until it is over, the full costs are not yet known.
There are ongoing costs towards medications required, as well as visits every 3 days to change her bandages. She'll require a final and thorough health check once she's healed to make sure the medication and resting period have done only good things to her precious little doggie body.
I promise to make updates on her progress here, so you can keep track of what your money is going towards.
We are determined to ensure that she'll make a full recovery as quickly as possible. Although we certainly won't be visiting the beach again, we'll no doubt have her running around chasing her friends and her favourite ball again soon.
NB I'm happy to provide the quote from the vet as evidence of costs, just not quite sure how to add it here so comment
/ send a message on how I can provide this to you if you want it.
Much love and gratitude,
Zilla + Teighan
