I come to you with a heart full of hope and a plea for your support. 

My beloved furry friend Ziggy, has stolen my heart since the day I adopted him.

Today, Ziggy faces a challenge that I cannot overcome alone. He urgently needs eye surgery to save his left eye and provide him with the quality of life he deserves.

Just a few months ago, I adopted Ziggy, a sweet 6 months old kitten. He had an undiagnosed eye condition (a cloudy eye). After several visits to different vets, he was diagnosed with a lens subluxation in his left eye. This subluxation was probably caused by an uveitis (eye infection) that was untreated (prior adopting him).

The lens subluxation is causing him a cataract (vision loss) and painful pressure in the eye. The surgery would place the lens back to the right position, easing the pressure and pain. He also could get his vision back. 

Unfortunately, the financial burden of Ziggy's eye surgery far exceeds what I can manage alone at this time. The estimated cost of the procedure in UK, including pre-operative tests, anesthesia, surgery, and post-operative care, is daunting. I have reached out to various charities and organizations, but due to the overwhelming demand and limited resources, they are unable to assist at this time. 

Your generous contribution to Ziggy's eye surgery fund will directly cover the costs of the operation and related medical expenses. Together, we can give Ziggy the chance to explore the beauty of the world and witness the simple joys that most of us take for granted. He is just a 14 month old sweetheart... If I couldn't raise enough money to save his eye, I will have to opt to remove it. I just want to give him the best possible (pain free) life.

Since he became a part of my life, I've dedicated myself to his well-being. I've provided him with a safe and loving environment, nutritious meals, medications, vet visits and all the care he needs. But despite my efforts, Ziggy's eyesight has gradually deteriorated due to this condition that was being untreated for so many months. This has made his condition worse and caused him loss of vision. His veterinarian has informed me after his last scan, that surgery is the only viable option to give him a chance of saving his left eye completely.

I understand that times are tough, and countless causes are vying for your attention. But I firmly believe that every life, no matter how small, is worth fighting for. Ziggy's bright spirit and unwavering resilience has taught me the true meaning of love and compassion. With your help, we can save Ziggy’s eye and open up a world of possibilities for him.

I am currently looking for surgery options outside UK (as seems that having the treatment abroad could reduce significantly its total cost). I will do periodic updates here as soon as I have more information.
