Ziggy Needs You: Critical Blood Transfusion
Donation protected
My name is Kimmie. I am the godmother to Ziggy and his brother, Bean. Their mama Michelle (aka my amazing friend) selflessly adopted them approximately 3 years from the Orlando Pet Alliance. Out of nowhere, Ziggy became very ill and he is fighting like hell to get better for his mama and brother.
I will spare you the grueling month-long details of his treatment, frankly because it is very overwhelming. The short version is he is receiving amazing care through UF's Small Animal Hospital, which has meant countless back and forth travel, hotel stays or all-nighters in the lobby, tests on tests to determine the cause, etc..
Recently, Ziggy received medication to treat the now-known underlying cause that should help him pull through. The only "downside" is the mediation takes a few weeks to kick-in through his system. With that being said, Ziggy is in-need of a blood transfusion. This is a costly, but necessary procedure, to keep Ziggy's red blood cell count high enough to give the medication the time it needs to stabilize his cute little, furry body.
I created this fundraiser because on top of all the stress of him being sick and going through treatment --- there is also the immense financial pressure this is causing. I have personally contributed to the treatment needs (ex. hotel stays), but I am only one person and my heart wants to find a way to do more. That is where YOU --- her friends (and any other animal lover out there) --- come in.
Michelle is an amazing friend that has showered her friends with birthday, wedding, and even baby gifts for all our life milestones. This is now our time to step up for her in any way you are able to --- $5, $10, $20, $50, etc.. Seriously, whatever you may be able to contribute would be a welcomed gift.
If you have any questions for me, please let me know.
(Also, Michelle please do not be mad at me for setting this up (if you see it), but I cannot sit by without trying to help reduce your stress).
