The Family of Zia Rashid

We are raising money to support the widow and children of our brother Zia Rashid in Pakistan, who sadly passed away on 30th March 2017.Zia suffered a stroke 7 months ago which left him completely paralysed. This happened 2 weeks after the birth of his son. He required 24 hour care which placed his family in great financial difficulty. Tragically his father had a sudden heart attack and also passed away 2 months after Zia's stroke. Zia was 42 and leaves behind his wife and 4 young children Maheen 10, Farheen 8, Rameen 2 and Mohammed Zayaan 8 months old, as well as his widowed mother. He used to be the main breadwinner for his family by running the local village convenience shop. The family are currently suffering from two great losses and financial difficulty. So we want to help them by raising £10,000. This will be used to help the family's expenses and schooling for the children.
