Jay’s Recovery

Hi everyone, my name is Ryann Boutwell and I am a close friend of the Reese Family.

On November 5th around 8:30pm, Jay Reese was ran off the road on 967 on his way home from work. He is currently in the hospital with a broken hip, broken/fractured teeth along with multiple facial lacerations and injuries, and will be receiving hip surgery by a team of specialists next week. He will be unable to walk for 3 months following the surgery, and is not expected to fully recover for 9-12 months. Jay is a baseball coach in Dripping Springs, so he will be unable to work until he is recovered. Miranda is self employed and will also be having to take time off of work to help with Jay’s recovery, along with driving Addisyn and Avryee to extra curriculars, and taking care of their 6-month-old, Riggs.

This family has done so much for our community and are the best friends to everyone lucky enough to know and love them. The next year of healing will bring many challenges both physically, emotionally, and financially, but I know they will get through it with the support of our amazing community.
