Hello Everyone,
I wanted to take this opportunity to reach out within our community, friends and families to talk about the catastrophic fires that are taking place in Australia right now... thousands of structures have been lost and that number will rise in the next coming days, multiple fires have taken their toll on the wildlife as seen on the news recently and the greatest loss of all is are the lives of people that couldn't escape the fires...the government has called state of emergency for some states meaning the worst is still yet to come... Canadian firefighters are helping greatly down there as the Australian firefighters helped when Canada was in need.
As an Australian living in Fort McMurray and have been for 13+ years I have family and friends in both countries that have been or are being affected by wildfires, in 2016 myself and my family lost our home and belongings in the ft mac fire as did many of you here... The times that individuals, families and businesses are facing in Australia are uncertain and will be some of the hardest times of their lives...
I have started a go fund me fundraiser to try and help out from our community to theirs, I understand funds are tight right now due to our economy etc but anything small is greatly appreciated, I will be donating $5000 from our company Northern Diesel Ltd and $5000 from our company First Fleet Maintenance Ltd to start the help...

Update...I have decided to split the funds 50% to the New South Wales Volunteer Fire department and 50% to the Port Maquarie Koala Hospital....the funds raised by everyone that donated to this go fund me cause will be deposited into my Australian bank account and I will then donate the funds to the 2 selected causes. Thank you.
