You are all so amazing and generous! I am humbled by this community’s generosity and outpouring of love and grateful that Aspen and Mark have such incredible people around them. I am raising the goal on this campaign as I am certain they will have need beyond the initial amount. Thank you all so, so much.

"Today, our son Otis died at 4 days old. He came home Sunday afternoon and that night went into cardiac arrest. Despite Aspen's and my efforts and the efforts of South Metro Fire Rescue, Littleton Hospital Emergency Department, Flight for Life, and Children's Hospital Colorado he did not make it. This is a very difficult time. I want to thank everyone for your congratulations at his birth; now I hope you'll join me in remembering him. Remember always that life is unpredictable and we must cherish the time we have with those we care about and those that care about us."

In addition to dealing with the loss of Otis, Mark and Aspen now face the insurmountable task of dealing with funeral arrangements and hospital bills. Though they both pride themselves on being independent, they recognize the overwhelming need that they will have as bills start arriving. They appreciate everyone's desire to be supportive in this time and are beyond grateful for the love that you have for them.
