Hello everyone,
As many of you know Brittany and Jack left their home state of Nevada to embark on a new adventure in Massachusetts. They have enjoyed working for the school district and experiencing a whole new life on the East Coast.
Tragically on March 5, 2016 Brittany Shaney was involved in a car accident. She suffered a serious spinal injury, among other injuries and was airlifted by helicopter to the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. She is being treated for several injuries including a T6 spinal injury, broken ribs, and punctured lung. At this time Brittany does not have movement or feeling below her abdomen, doctors are not sure she will walk again. Plans are being made to have Brittany transferred to a rehabilitation center (likely closer to home) that specializes in her recovery throughout this process.
Everyone who has met and come to know Brittany will tell you that she is a caring, hard-working, and kind individual. Her smile is contagious and she has never hesitated to help anyone in need.
Medical bills have already started piling up and will continue to do so throughout the therapeutic process.
Please donate what you can to lessen the stress in their lives. The funds raised will go directly to the family to help cover the costs of hospitalization, rehabilitation therapies and helping her adjust to her new life.
