I am currently saving up to study abroad in Japan for one month this June. Studying in Japan has been one of my biggest dreams, and this opportunity means so much to me. It will also be my first time ever leaving California, as traveling hasn’t really been accessible to me throughout my life.

This is an academic study abroad program that will allow me to immerse myself in Japanese culture and education. The costs wouldn’t feel as overwhelming if I had been informed about the program sooner, but due to the short notice, I am cutting it very close financially. A $5,000 program deposit is due in April, on top of airfare and living expenses once the trip begins.

This fundraiser is meant to help cover part of the program deposit and travel costs. I am actively saving and working to cover the rest myself.
