My name is Emilia. Jackie and I have been best friends for 27 years. We are rallying around an incredible woman, mother, sister, and friend who is facing an unimaginable chapter of her life. At just 38 years old, Jackie was diagnosed with metastatic renal cell carcinoma, an aggressive cancer that has spread to multiple bones. To make this even more devastating, she is 16 weeks pregnant with her miracle IVF baby boy—news that came alongside the heartbreaking reality that her baby will not survive the diagnosis.
To know Jackie is to love her. She is an amazing mom to her two young daughters, Gabby (5) and Carly (4)—a role she is endlessly proud of. She is a loving wife to her husband, Chris, and a devoted daughter to the most kindhearted parents, Kim and Bill. She is the kind of friend everyone hopes to have. She’s also a badass CRNA—one of the hardest-working, most dedicated professionals you’ll ever meet. Jackie is brave. She is determined. And she is deeply loved.
At home, life doesn’t stop. Her girls still need bedtime stories, school drop-offs, and their mom’s hugs. But the road ahead is overwhelming: oncology appointments, hospital stays, possible travel to out-of-state specialists, time away from work, and the emotional weight of navigating treatment while holding her family together.
No one plans for a diagnosis like this—especially not at 38, and not while pregnant. The emotional, physical, and financial burden is enormous. We’ve created this GoFundMe to help ease some of that weight so Jackie and her family can focus on what matters most: treatment, time together, and getting through each day.
Funds will help support:
• Medical bills and treatments not fully covered by insurance
• Travel to cancer specialists
• Childcare and household support during appointments and hospital stays
• Lost income during treatment and recovery
• Creating meaningful memories with her family during this fight
Jackie is scared—but she is also strong, determined, and surrounded by people who love her deeply. Every donation, share, prayer, or kind thought helps remind her and her family that they are not alone as they navigate this unimaginable time.
If you’re able to give, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page and keeping Jackie and her family in your thoughts means more than we can say. Let’s lift her up and help carry this burden together.
We believe in hope. We believe in community. And we believe Jackie should not have to face this alone.
