In 2015, my best friend Amanda received the gift of life — a double lung transplant due to Cystic Fibrosis complications that gave her nearly a decade of strength, love, and unforgettable memories. Now, she is facing a heartbreaking new challenge: a failing heart valve.
Amanda has been traveling from Portland to Seattle for specialized care, and the most recent procedure sadly was not successful. She and her family are now in Seattle for further treatment and monitoring. Her devoted partner has been off work since March to be with her full-time — exactly where he should be — but the financial burden is becoming overwhelming.
This fundraiser is to help cover the rising costs of hotel stays, meals, transportation, and basic living expenses. With no income coming in and expenses piling up, your support can give her family the breathing room they need during an incredibly difficult time.
If we’re fortunate enough to raise beyond what’s needed for immediate costs, any remaining funds will go toward something deeply meaningful — a celebration of Amanda’s 10-year transplant anniversary in September, a milestone she has fought so hard to reach.
Thank you for helping Amanda and her family stay together through this fight.
