Sheila with her medical bills and medications

Hi, my name is Sheila Hensell, and I have stage 4 ovarian cancer which I have been fighting since 2004. I go to weekly chemotherapy treatments plus several doctors appointments a month for the cancer.

I also am in kidney failure since 2017, caused by the chemotherapy. I go to dialysis 3 days a week for the kidney failure. Plus monthly doctor appointments.

I also am being treated for an open wound caused by the treatment for dialysis. I go to wound care weekly for that. I have had to purchase a lot of medical supplies to care for the wound myself.

I also received an open wound on my lower leg from a fall as a result of weakness from both the cancer/chemotherapy and the dialysis. I go to wound care 3 times a week for that.

Besides all of those costs, co-pays, and supplies, I take a lot of medications. Some of those medications are very expensive even with help like GoodRx and/or insurance. Earlier this year I spent 9 days in 2 different hospitals, plus an ambulance bill. I have been to the emergency room and urgent care several times throughout the past several years as well as other hospital stays.

Any amount you can give to help out, would be greatly appreciated.
