Maya Bragdon is a wonderful, beautiful, and happy 6-year-old girl. Her parents Kim and Shawn adore her, and her twin sister Abby is her best friend. They recently welcomed a puppy into their home. Maya was looking forward to Christmas and was working hard at school.

Last week everything changed when Maya had problems with her balance and was taken to Children’s Hospital for an evaluation. The tests revealed that Maya has a brain tumor. Kim and Shawn received the diagnosis after biopsy that Maya has DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma). This is a rare and very difficult to treat aggressive pediatric cancer.

Kim, Shawn, Maya, and Abby will need love, support and resources to navigate this unimaginable journey. Please hold them close in your hearts.
